We prioritize loans to those who have been left out of traditional capital markets.

Office Support Specialist

Location: Grand Rapids, MI in a hybrid environment. Full-time, exempt (36.5 hrs/week).

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm; Friday: 8:30am – 1:00pm 

Summary of the Role:

The Office Support Specialist will work with the CEO and Grants/Finance Manager to support the financial and compliance integrity of the organization. They are responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting, basic bookkeeping functions, and vendor relationships for operational excellence.


  • Bookkeeping, including assistance with accounts payable and accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance and review, bank account reconciliations, monthly financial statement preparation, and bank deposit processing.
  • Work with external service providers to process payroll, benefits, contributions, and withholdings.
  • Process and file new hire paperwork, internal status changes and employee termination paperwork, working in coordination with all necessary vendors.
  • Review current and potential vendors, ensuring operational compliance.
  • Manage calendars and make logistic arrangements for meetings, programs, conferences, and community spaces, including booking travel, making reservations, or organizing details.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, faxes, mail, and packages.
  • Collect, file, and organize records, invoices, and other important documentation.
  • Facilities oversight, including submitting work orders and scheduling repairs for general office space and equipment as well as monitoring office inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Transcribing or taking notes during meetings and writing minutes, memos, and/ or agendas.
  • CRM administration support.
  • Work with Grow team in preparing federal grant applications, improving operational efficiencies, assisting programmatic oversight, and managing vendor contract relations.
  • Other special projects as needed.

Experience and Competencies: 

  • 3-5 years in a similar role or equivalent function (including intermediate bookkeeping)
  • Experience working in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Salesforce (or similar CRM tools)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a commitment to accuracy and timelines

This Position Offers:
